Rorotika Confirms Disinvestment from Concurrent Systems

FOURWAYS, JOHANNESBURG, 20 January 2015: Rorotika Technologies has confirmed that it has recently disinvested from partner, Concurrent Systems, who negotiated a share buy-back of Rorotika’s shares in Concurrent Systems.

Rorotika Technologies (Pty) Ltd. bought a stake in Concurrent Systems in 2010, forming a strategic partnership that was mutually beneficial, with both companies having commonalities in the technologies employed in their respective product ranges.

Concurrent Systems will continue independently with their development in the area of USSD software for GSM mobile telephone operators, providing products and solutions that enable mobile network operators to generate new streams of income for the network and retain subscribers.

Rorotika would like to wish the Concurrent team all the very best.

The two companies will continue to work together into the future.

MTN SA purchases Rorotika’s NetCM

FOURWAYS, JOHANNESBURG, 22 January 2014: MTN SA, a JSE-listed operator in South Africa, has purchased Rorotika’s NetCM, having successfully used the tool on a Software as a Service basis for the last two years. MTN SA now has “right-to-use” licences for NetCM’s NetRan (for 2G, 3G and LTE) and for NetCore (PS Core and CS Core), as well as NetDiscover which allows tracking of active network assets.

MTN SA has also signed for an additional two years of consulting services with Rorotika Technologies, to manage their core and BSS nodes for multi-vendor equipment. NetCM helps MTN SA to enhance its efficiency, and improve QoS.

“With MTNs complex multi-vendor, multi-technology OSS environment we required a tool that would not only centralize configuration management but also automate routine day to day tasks. NetCM has proved invaluable to our staff and as management we have seen the benefits via improved QoS and reduced turnaround times for fixing config errors,” said Adrian Pelser (Network Support Services Manager)

Rorotika confirms management buy-out of Tawk2me Communications

FOURWAYS, JOHANNESBURG, 15 January 2014: Rorotika Technologies has confirmed that strategic partner, Tawk2me has recently negotiated a management buy-out (MBO) of all of Rorotika’s shares in Tawk2me Communications (Pty) Ltd.

Rorotika Technologies (Pty) Ltd. entered into a strategic partnership with Tawk2me Communications in January 2012, aimed at leveraging the strengths and expertise of each company to expand the Tawk2me voice-based social media communication service.

Through funding and services provided by Rorotika, Tawk2Me was able to increase its efforts in the development, testing and rebranding of the innovative Tawk2me offering, and the Tawk2me voice-based social media service was launched with mobile telecommunications operator, MTN Swaziland on 31 January 2013.

Tawk2me distinguishes itself from other social media by using voice which allows emotion, character and personality to be expressed. Tawk2me allows the people sending messages to communicate in their own language, with their own accent and it is not restricted to the literate. It offers a personal contact not achieved with text communication. As a ‘one to many’ platform, there is no limitation to how many recipients can receive a message at any time. Rorotika Technologies Release NetCM Mobile App

A unique offering in the configuration management arena, the NetCM mobile app allows engineers to interface remotely with the NetCM configuration management tool set using their mobile devices.

Tawk2me Communications, innovator in the voice-based social media arena, announces strategic partnership with Rorotika Technologies

DURBAN, 11 JANUARY 2012: Tawk2me Communications (Pty) Ltd, announced today the forming of a strategic partnership with Rorotika Technologies (Pty) Ltd. that is aimed at leveraging the strengths and expertise of each company to expand the Tawk2me voice-based social media communication service.

Rorotika Technologies to manage MTN SA core and BSS nodes for multi-vendor equipment

FOURWAYS, JOHANNESBURG, 25 November 2011: MTN SA, a JSE-listed operator in South Africa, has signed a lease agreement with Rorotika Technologies (Pty) Ltd., to manage their core and BSS nodes for multi-vendor equipment, using Rorotika’s NetCore and NetRan software solutions.

Through the use of Rorotika’s NetCore solution, MTN SA will manage the core nodes such as the MSC, HLR, and MGW, whereas the NetRan product will allow the BSS department to perform site upgrades, reconfigure ATM sites to IP, create IUB and ABIS definitions and so on.
